Price:

£25 per session

Duration:

1hr 30min

About the Course

A small, nurturing art group created exclusively for home educated children aged 7–16, offering them an opportunity to learn and create alongside other home educated young people in a supportive and welcoming environment.

With a maximum of just 10 students, the group is intentionally kept small so that every child can receive individual attention, develop their confidence and work at their own pace.

Through observational drawing and painting, students will learn to train their eye to really look, notice and understand what they see. We will explore still life compositions, work from visual references and, when the weather permits, take our sketchbooks outdoors for plein air drawing.

Students will be introduced to a variety of traditional art materials and techniques, from graphite, charcoal and pastels to watercolours, gouache and acrylics, allowing them to experiment and discover the materials they enjoy working with most.

Based in the beautiful historic setting of Old Carrow House in Norwich, the group will provide a calm and nurturing creative space where home educated children can develop their artistic skills, build confidence, make new friendships and enjoy learning together as a small creative community.

This group runs every Wednesday from 14.30 to 16.00 PM at our studio.
