About the Course
This course will take students on a sensory journey through the change of seasons in nature exploring the colours, mood and textures that can be captured in art.
High clear and low gloomy skies, tree landscapes and unique seasonal still lives will be studied and created to develop students' artistic eye for the environment, as well as their drawing and painting skills.
Students will be guided in using a variety of mediums including graphite, charcoal, soft and oil pastels, watercolours, gouache and acrylic paints.
Group discussions about art history, old and contemporary artists in relation to the representation of the seasons will form an integral part of the course.
Students will be challenged to unusual drawing methods too to step ‘outside the box’ and focus on creative self-expressive but focused approach to the subject.
Looking forward to welcoming students in our drawing studio!
