About the Course
This course will guide students in using graphite, acrylic paint, watercolours & pastels to create artwork inspired by our Norfolk landscapes. Program will cover most of the landscape foundations:
Colour theory. How to create harmonious colour contrast.
Perspective and light. How to create realistic perspective and illumination.
Value. How to achieve the value by applying a contrast between light and dark.
Composition. How to put together a piece so it's pleasing to the eye.
Texture. How to create different types of texture via using different mediums and techniques.
Opacity. How to create opacity through an application of contrast between lighter and darker tones.
Each session will be focussed on one or several aspects of the landscape and students will create several studies throughout the course, which will greatly contribute towards any art portfolio should young artist decides to apply for a bursary or take Art &Design for GCSE.
